Nature Detectives winter art competition

Nature Detectives winter art competition 2019
The Nature Detectives 2019 winter art competition is supported by 'Live and Deadly' presenter Naomi Wilkinson.

This competition is now closed. We'll announce the winners soon!

We've teamed up with TV presenter Naomi Wilkinson to launch our 2019 winter art competition.

Winter is a wonderful season and we'd like children to celebrate it by getting creative. So make a piece of winter art and enter it into our competition for your chance to win a super 70-piece art set.

Before you start, visit a local wood to get inspired. Pull on your wellies and listen to the frost crunch under your feet. Wrap up in your warmest woollies and watch wildlife braving the wintry weather. Soak up all the sights, sounds and smells of a winter wonderland, then use them to create a brilliant piece of art.

You can be as imaginative as you like, but your entry must relate to UK woods and wildlife (so no snow leopards or polar bears please!). And we'd really like you to think about the environment when you're creating your entry. Try to avoid using glitter - it's made from tiny pieces of plastic which can end up in our soil and seas, harming wildlife - and think of natural or eco-friendly alternatives instead.

Watch Naomi's message for budding artists:

How to enter

Label your entry (on the back) with your full name, address and age. We'd love to know more about your creation too, so don't forget to include a few words about what inspired you.

Send your entry to:

Four winners will be chosen, one from each age group: 0-2, 3-5, 6-7 and 8+.

The winners will be announced on 15 March 2019 here on the Nature Detectives website.
